The Words I Would Say...

After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you.
                                                                                      -1 Peter 5:10

 Friend, He has heard your tears. He has seen your pain.
 Stand fast, friend. Do not lose heart, do not lose courage. Be strong with the strength He has given you, and stand, unshaking, to face the foe.

Don't Forget

In the business of the world, so many people rush by You. They forget You. They might claim You, but... they forget You.

He got out of the van, looking the picture of charismatic, late at night, sunglasses covering deep eyes, camera lights flashing and assistants buzzing around him, fans squealing. He felt alone, even in all this. Walking quickly, he went towards the door, stubbornly strangling the thought echoing in his mind: "Surely there's more?"

She flopped on the bed, stuffing earbuds in and cranking up the volume, crowding out the yelling of her angry mom.
"What does she know?" She sneered. Again she screamed dirty words at her parent.
Once the door slammed, the music blasting away in her ears, she turned it up even louder, ignoring the guilt, muffling the fact: "You claim Christ - is this the way you should act?"

He let her entice him. Those eyes... they were so beautiful. If only he could touch her...
Alone in the office, she walked in, saying flirtatious things. He sat at the desk, a single bead of sweat rolled down his face. She stood behind him and ran her hand through his hair. His eyes darted to the picture of him and his wife on the desktop - "You claim Christ... get out." He killed it. Leaning forward with one swift movement, he turned the photo face down on the counter, stood, and gave in.
But... he claimed Christ, didn't he?

She signed the last signature on a divorce paper, throwing the pen across the room at her husband.
"You never do anything around here! I'm sick of you! Aaron is a far better man than you are!" The words broke his heart. She turned, taking up her bags, slamming the door behind her. Her new lover waited in the car.
From inside she heard her ex scream her name... but she closed her ears to her conscious. "The unfaithful bride... unfaithful bride."
Didn't she claim Christ?

So many are unfaithful. And I admit, even I am at times. I get so wrapped up in other things that I forget.
Lord, please... help those that have forgotten you. Even though they may for a time, You're ever there, and "You know Your sheep" and "You will loose none that the Father has given You."

In the end, You win. In the end, You save.
Amen.

Prayer for Prayer

Dear Father in Heaven,

This prayer is actually for me, you know that for some reason I have difficulty talking to you, it's been so long since I've talked to you regularly, and I miss you. Dear God, teach me how to pray, I remember when I would go in my closet and talk to you, and I miss it. Please help me get back to that place with you.

In Jesus name, Amen

Tonight

Photo from Google Images
Father in Heaven, Almighty Lord...
Give them an empty feeling tonight - to show them that this world isn't enough.
It's for their good...
It really makes me want to cry.
Please, please, please please show them Your glory, God.
They need You... just like so many. They need You. They're dying... and I can't help them.

Please, Lord - please save them.
Only You can.

I praise You, Lord. You know the plans You have for them - for me.

In Your Name,
AMEN.

Prayer for an old friend

Dear Father in Heaven, you know this person very well, but he doesn't know you at all. He is blinded by the lusts and pleasures of this world and doesn't see the need for a God that saves. Please open his eyes to your saving grace and lead him to a life that will glorify you. He doesn't have any family, so I pray that you will help him find fellowship with Christians that will strengthen his soul. This person has hurt me very much, but I forgive him Lord, and I know you forgive those who repent of their sins, please lead him to the cross of salvation.
In Jesus Name I pray, Amen

For A Friend

Someone I know could be getting in over their head, Lord...
Please pull them out. Slap some sense into their heads and shout to them, "You deserve better!"
I know that people are worried for them... please use this to pull them into Your arms.
I don't know this person very well, Father... but you do. You know them inside and out. You've written their lives.
I ask that you please use them for your glory, Lord... don't let something bad happen to them.

All I can do - all we can do - is pray for them... Use our prayers, Jesus.

In Your holy name,
Amen.

Prayer for You

Dear Lord,

I haven't know this person for a hugely long time, but you've taught me so much through them. They've become someone I go to when I need something, anything, and I know that this person will always be there for me.
 They've taught me alot about love, Lord.And I hate to see how this sweet love of theirs is returned.
 So without really giving away any names or people, I wanted to say a prayer for them at this moment, and the other people I know who are like this person.
 I wanted to pray that You would bless them. That You would draw them closer and closer to You; help them to see that their longing for acceptance isn't in vain-that You have accepted them, no matter how worn out by life they are.
 Lastly I pray that You would protect them.

 In Christ's Name,
 Amen.

A Prayer

picture from Google Images
Heavenly Father,
I come to you praying for a certain person who's recently gone through some shock... Please, please help them to recover, and realize that You're the only One that can keep them from slipping.
Please show them that You love them, and that You are always there; that all of this has happened for a reason.
Help their friend's to gather around them, to be a light to them, that they will see your glory - that you saved their life.
You know that I am a Prayer Warrior for them... that I will never, ever give up on them. Shine Your light to them, Father... please.
They need You... they're blinded by the bright lights and the loud noises of the world. Oh please, Jesus... please help them.
I will hold their hand by praying... so many are. Even in just my small circle.
I all the more will. I will forever. Please heal them, Lord. Use this situation to turn them.
Without You, the world is dark... shine to them. Truly be a delight. Truly be the solar heat that wakens them. Truly be top of the world to them. Truly, truly tame the dragon, Lord. Bring them to victory.
Please, Father.... This is my prayer. Lead them down the right path.

Oh use me, Lord... Oh my God... use even me.

In Your holy name... Amen.

The Difference Prayer Makes

"I got up early one morning
And rushed right into the day;
I had so much to accomplish
That I didn't take time to pray.

Problems just tumbled about me,
And heavier came each task;
"Why doesn't God help me?" I wondered.
He answered: "You didn't ask."

I wanted to see joy and beauty -
But the day toiled on, gray and bleak;
I wondered why God didn't show me,
He said, "But you didn't seek."

I tried to come into God's presence,
I used all my keys on the lock;
God gently and lovingly chided:
"My child, you didn't knock."

I woke up early this morning
And paused before entering the day;
I had so much to accomplish
That I had to take time to pray."
